The relaxed atmosphere in Playa del Carmen will charm you right away.
"Playa" (as the locals call it) is friendly and spontaneous. The weather is nice year round, and the white sand Caribbean beaches close to all our vacation rental properties.
Playa del Carmen is a wonderful place to shop, dine and dance the night away. Although it is small enough to walk or ride a bike from one end of town to another, Playa del Carmen is charming and full of things to do.
Most people come to Playa del Carmen for its world famous beach, but there is plenty to do besides just relax in the sun. Playa del Carmen is a great jumping off point for exploring Mexico's Riviera Maya.
Playa del Carmen is close to the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza. In fact, there is even a small Mayan ruin in the Playacar Resort. Visitors can learn to dive on reefs just off shore, spend the day shopping and snorkeling in Cozumel, take a jungle tour, dive into a crystal clear cenote cavern, swim with dolphins, watch sea turtles and more - all within one hour of your home away from home in Playa del Carmen.
